Home Sweet Home!

After much planning and a few headaches, we are finally done with construction and all moved in to our forever home! 

 

I don't know why exactly, but the house that we lived in for 8 years just never really felt like "home" to me.  From the very first night we stayed in the new house, it has felt like "home".  And that makes me so incredibly happy!

Wordless Wednesday: Binoculars

L and I went on a ranger ride with Grammy over the weekend, just to get out and enjoy the weather and see what kind of wildlife we could find.  L was prepared with Papa's binoculars. 

Funniest part was that L was constantly looking thru the binoculars and was afraid that Grammy was going to run into the trees that were WAY off into the distance.
  

We saw squirrel nests, trees that beavers had chewed on, deer, hawks, an owl... but the favorite of the day?  Calves of course!

Last Christmas, my siblings and I got our Mom a family photo session.... it only took 10 months, but we finally had them taken this past weekend!  Here is one of my favorite shots from the morning.

My parents got a new puppy last week, she's a 10 week old Pyrador - a cross between a Great Pyrenees and a Labrador, and she is ADORABLE!  The girls have fallen in love of course!

Wordless Wednesday: A Time To...

Christmas, it's a time to give and a time to receive. 

It's a time to share with friends and family.

It's a time to eat until your stomach literally can't handle any more. 

But most of all?  It's a time for aunts and uncles with no children to buy inappropriate gifts for their nieces and nephews. 

Thanks Bonnie & Cory.  While I hate for toys to go to waste, this is one that I'm hoping she gets tired of quickly!
